NAME: Michelle Yeoh, Michelle Khan, Yeoh Chi King , Yeoh Chu-kheng
This Malaysian-born
actress started out as a ballet dancer, until an ankle injury sidelined
her career. She debuted opposite of Jackie Chan in a commerical, but retired
in 1988 to get married. She was one of the highest paid actresses
at the time. The marriage ended after a couple of years, and with
"Supercop" starring Chan, Michelle resumed her career. Her popularity
had begun to fade when she was cast in "Tomorrow Never Dies." Since
then, she has appeared mainly in ads, while waiting for her next script.
She's recently finished filming Ang Lee's next film, "Hidden Dragon, Crouching
Tiger," with Chow Yun Fat, and is also in talks to star in a John Woo-produced
action-comedy.
