Medellin, Colombia

Biography:
Ana Maria was
born to Deborah and Sergio Lombo, an America vocalist mother, and a Colombian
musician/songwriter father. Ana Maria's first encounter with public
singing was at the age of 3 in a Mexican restaurant beside her sister,
Shalom, in matching dresses. They would performed at local churches
and retirement communities for Christmas.
Ana Maria never
attended school, instead, she was tutored along with older sister Shalom
and younger sister Felicia. This hot new bi-cultural and bi-lingual
singer/songwriter has traveled the world with her sisters in their family
group, living for a time in Colombia, Mexico, Wisconsin, Texas and California,
before settling in Scottsdale, AZ. While their family band, Pazport,
was taking a well deserved break, she had the opportunity together with
her two sisters to travel throughout the world as background vocalists
for Sony Music Recording Artist Julio Iglesias Jr. all over Asia, Europe,
and Latin America.
However, this
was not the first time that Ana Maria had performed for live audiences
on radio and television, since she had previously performed with her sisters
the National Anthem live for the "Phoenix Suns," the "Phoenix Roadrunners,"
the "Phoenix Celebrity All-Star" Soft Ball Games, and together with her
family band had opened for such recording artists as "Jose Feliciano,"
"Gato Barbieri," "Poncho Sanchez," and even shared the stage with "Jennifer
Paige," "Blaque," and "Christina Aguilera." After over a decade
of hard work, the family decided to record their own CD, which was produced
by her father Sergio Lombo, and had 9 original compostions including some
collaborations by Ana Maria. This CD was sold at their performances
and local music stores with over 10,000 copies sold in a matter of weeks.
Her Colombian
and American beauty caught the attention of Ford Models agent Margaret
Merritt, who offered her an exclusive contract with the Ford Modeling Agency,
which allowed her to earn some extra cash to pay for her own demos and
pictures. However, she quit because she says that they treat you
like glass. At the age of 21, this new star has already co-written
a song for Julio Iglesias Jr. with Japan's version of "Baby Face" songwriter/producer
extraordinaire Tetsuya "TK" Komuro, and is currently working on her own
songs, including the ballad "All My Life" which she co-wrote with cross-over
sensation producer/songwriter Rodolfo "Rudy" Castillo who has penned hits
for such artists as "Gloria Estefan" and "Jon Secada".
One day, she
finally told her parents that she wanted to follow her own destiny and
be a solo artist. Her parents agreed, and Ana Maria went to Los Angeles
where she auditioned for "Popstars: USA." After months of auditioning,
Ana Maria and four others were chosen to form Eden's Crush. When
their label closed down, the group disbanded. The band, Eden's Crush,
only lasted a little over a year. Ana Maria is currently writing
songs for a solo album. Ana Maria loves soccer.
